those really are too early though.

Nanosolar was the one who held the promise of the solar tile roofs, because their product was supposed to work on a tin foil like flexible material. Then you could wrap the nanosolars around a real composite roof time and there you go. The problem is they could never get the efficiency out of the flexible backpanel. They then changed to a rigid backpanel but with CIGS still don't have the efficiency of first solar.

It really is too early to put solar tiles on your roof. The big panels work, but my guess is in 5 years the tech will be here. It is still worth installing solar in CA though because this will heat your whole house even in the winter, and we have $400 heating bills here.
