To me the type of wars that we are fighting now do not need a large Navy.

We need to train guerrillas for the type of warfare that is prevalent in the mountains and rugged terrain of these middle eastern countries.

The Navy can guard our coast lines... have a aircraft carriers from which to launch planes and submarines..

Just my opinion but I don't think the Navy is as important now as it was. Of course John McCain was a Navy man. Maybe this is why he wants to build up the Navy. Who knows.

Of course I think in government we have too much of a duplication of services... The CIA the FBI.. the ASA...
it goes on and on and ultimately there is a negative competition that develops so that sharing of information and working together is minimized.. Not good.
