All McCain has to do is to publicize the beliefs of the Mormon Church, which is NOT a Christian denomination, if he feels at all threatened. The only reason he hasn't is that it's not necessary. If he does that, no one in Texas or the South will vote for Romney.

In the Mormon religion, Jesus is just ONE of their prophets, much as he is in Islam. Joseph Smith and the current living Prophet and Revelator come before Jesus in the pecking order. Joeseph Smith brought the New Testament "up to date" and the Prophets since have corrected each other and Joe Smith, as with polygamy and the inferior status of blacks until 1964 in the church.

Mormons never read the Bible. They read the "Book of Mormon", "The Pearl of Great Price". "Doctrine and Covenants" for guidance.
