Alex, I absolutely agree with you about the quality of the suitor. I certainly don't want a conglomerate of ATVI and a bunch of weak players with poor devlopment and bad games...Not saying that MPRS/GTIS and THQI are bad comapanies...I mean other companies... I would like to see ATVI make it on its own....build their franchises into regular sellers so that they don't have to keep trying to come up with one-hit wonders. But if they did get bought out, which I still think will happen, I would go for an ERTS/ATVI alliance. What would you think about a BROD/ATVI combo? Personally, I don't think BROD brings that much to the table. RIVEN will not be as successful as MYST, IMHO. Anyhow, I was in CompUSA this weekend and HEXEN II was the #2 best seller, and Dark Reign was #4. #1 was MSFT's flight simulator 98, and #3 was Starfleet Academy. Total Annihilation wasn't even in the top 10 (at least at CompUSA). I'm looking forward to the next few months. Definitely some great games coming out....I hope! Tom C.
