It's the closet we had come to losing a ship since WWII. The phosphorus burning down through the deck and munitions going off below deck were very bad news. What we learned from the Forrestfire is if we have a fire on deck now we push any planes on deck over board to get rid of the potential phosphorus fire.

Your also correct in that it was an accident that had nothing to do with anything John did and almost was his demise. To say else wise is not being honest. We don't need to smear McCain with dishonest claims because unfortunately there are all to many honest ones:(
