70% accuracy?!? How does that help determine anything? I can see beginning to make a case for 90%, but I sure wouldn't want to be tied to a machine that would have even a 10% chance of calling me a liar and landing me in jail. I have a friend who took a polygraph when applying for a job in the CIA, and it was a disaster. They kept telling him he was lying about the most basic stuff. They clearly had no idea. I have read that some people are simply good liars and that you can train to pass a polygraph test. I believe faith in lie-detector technology is misguided. /BSG
