That's the part that's really difficult to understand. Does cheap labor trump respect for US laws? If newcomers have been encouraged to boldly break immigration laws, why would they observe other laws? Today congress was careful not to annoy Americans even further, when they passed the stimulus package: >They relented Thursday and allowed a vote on a more limited proposal that included the rebates for the elderly and veterans, plus language designed to prevent illegal immigrants from getting the checks.<
