Looks like stock will be supported by annoucements like this.
CEO knows how to get maximum stock price. Company is on the block for sure. Only question is now trying to determine takeover value.

SUNNYVALE, Calif. -(Dow Jones)- Verity Inc. said Monday that it hired Wessels, Arnold & Henderson to advise the company about its options for potentially selling the rights to its "IntelliServ" product and
technology.
Verity (VRTY), which makes search and retrieval software, said it
will try to sell the product to focus on its core enterprise and
original-equipment-manufacturer business.
The company said it expects it will reduce the size of its
applications business unit in Bellevue, Wash., which was responsible for the development and marketing of IntelliServ.
An unspecified number of the engineers responsible for the
development of IntelliServ will continue to maintain the product, and
IntelliServ customers will continue to receive support from Verity, the company said.
