must check out Cape Coral to Punta Gorda and Port Charlotte..I was in Punta Gorda and Englewood in Charlotte County with a huge intracoastal waterway just a block or so off of Tamiami Trail and it appeared the GOM was less than two miles away.Cape Coral I know you'll find closer in Bottom line is you won't find anything even close in Sarasota, the entire east coast of the keys
