Have to complain a bit about Grant's recent issues. To me it seems way too early to be getting excited about great values and hidden gems in the mortgage industry. What's the point of writing up these companies now? In two or three years they might be worth a look. But there will be lots of other bargains by then. I think the guy is suffering from bear fatigue. He has been writing about a mortgage meltdown for so long. Now, right at the peak of it he is already bored of the subject. It is stale for him. He wants to be contrarian and provocative - go against the trend. So he writes about long ideas just as we are heading into a huge recession.
