K, true that's part of the problem. A larger problem is that the same thing happens in congress when it comes to voting on legislation.
For example when it came to voting at the federal level on medical marijuana. San Diego like most Ca. is fairly liberal in its thoughts on this. Clearly, medical marijuana reform at the federal level is wanted. Yet, much to my chagrin our Rep. Duncan Hunter, who I used to like, voted against it. I called his office and ranted at this woman, that was about like fighting with a marshmallow, for a few minutes until I whipped out the last weapon I had.....my vote....<g>
