Every other industrial country doesn't tax their citizens when they live outside of the country. Why should non-residents be taxed at all? The US taxes French people who live in the US, but not French people who live outside the US. France taxes Frech people who live in France, but France does not tax French people who live in the US. Why is the US taxing US citizens who live in France permanently? They get their health care in France, drive on French roads, send their kids to French schools, and the US wants to collect tax on their income? That's sorta nuts.

Let the US tax US citizens who live in the US, and not tax US citizens who live elsewhere. Your country of residency should determine your tax bill - that's how the rest of the world does it.
