You mean like WWII and Eisenhower? Or Vietnam and LBJ?

LBJ had already lost public support and the Vietnam War before Nixon was even elected and you know it. All he could do was try to find a semi-graceful way out.

All progress in this country has been made during Democratic administrations, with the one exception of Eisenhower. Who would be hated as much as McCain, if he were to run today.
Why is Eisenhower an exception? According to the Democrats and unions at the time, he was a disaster.

What progress are you referring to? The bloating of the monet supply under Klinton and the dot.con bubble?

Or the development of commercial jet transport while Ike was President?

The WCOM and Enron scams that were discovered under GWB, but occurred while Klinton's SEC was asleep at the switch?

Or the development of the internet, most of which took plave in the 1980's while Reagan was President (sorry, Al). Don't BS me, Chrlie; I was there and on it.
