Salomon Starts Box Hill Sys With Strong Buy Rating

NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--Salomon Brothers Inc. initiated coverage
of Box Hill Systems Corp. (BXH) with a strong buy rating.

In a research note, the firm said it expects Box Hill, which designs,
makes and supports data storage systems for the Open Systems
computing environment, to continue to grow its UNIX operating
systems sales at levels substantially higher than the overall market.

Salomon expects the company to earn 54 cents a share in 1997 and 80
cents a share in 1998.
