155 lbs fell 8/6/5 today. that's 20 days since 150 lbs fell 8/6/5, so i'm still on my three week, 5 lb progression.
it was a tough three weeks, though, as my household was sick and my nerve told my there was some excess inflammation in my body that was tweaking it more than normal. i could only lift 155 lbs 6 times on thursday, though i didn't have much energy on thursday, for whatever reason.
160 lbs is next.
i though about odb's suggestions and i am going to add a zone block and i'm going to use the bench press machine that allows me to lock the weight, should i run into trouble and not be able to lift the weight, to start testing my max lifts to help prepare for the heavier weights.
my stomach is flat (my 33 inch waist is measured belly button high) and i think part of the problem my abs are only about 30% washboards is because my abs aren't that bulky - 19 years of atrophy will do that to you. more food means more protein to build bulkier abs and support my aggressive lifting progression. not to mention my lean muscle mass is up and i'm starting heavy cardio again now that my plantar fasciitis isn't keeping me sidelined.
i'm definitely not losing 1 lb per week anymore, though, since i hit the high 150s. i might have to be content to sit in the high 150s as my body adds muscle and loses fat at a similar rate.
a couple updates:
dr. sears has worked with athletes that have won 24 gold medals in the last four olympics, not 22. dr. oz, dr. atkins and the rest of the hormonally imbalanced dietary advocates have to go buy their gold on the open market - and it is pretty pricey these days. ;-)

as for my friend who is still amazed that her 5 year back pain / ulcer horror looks to have come to an end, stopped taking her ulcer medication and hasn't had any ill side effects since. she has consistently stable blood sugar and definitely notices feeling much better and having much better mood control. she also mentioned needing to use a belt to wear pants that didn't require a belt just last week. oh, and she still isn't hungry on about 50% to 66% of the calories she used to eat.
