All public Fed Open Market Operations (including TAF and even the Treasury's TIOs) are auctions, and the only three things the Fed officially controls are whether an auction takes place or not, the rate range, and the total amount made available for borrowing. SecLend daily borrowing by the way is usually at 1% or less... for what its worth.

Who knows when rates will turn around and start reflecting closer to what real inflation is, or indeed whether and how much interference there may be from Congress or The White House to it. The box they're in isn't pretty and "unusual" solutions are likely, as well as the continuation of the "creeping corralito" that's been going on for years.
