Though I once worked in the north with a guy who referred to American Jews as "the enemy." Not Israelis, whom he liked. A lot. I never understood his warped logic on that one.

My somewhat informed opinion of American Jews is this: they are mostly bleeding heart liberals who would not support Israeli sovereignty at any cost, not realizing that sooner or later that could be Jews' only refuge when it becomes fashionable for parts of the world to kill Jews again. They also do stupid stuff like being one of the largest contributors to the NAACP while most blacks hate Jews.

I'm of Russian-Jewish descent by the way and don't have have feelings for either group, other than understanding that when it comes time to pick teams again you better know who your team is and until then better to make sure your team still has a home field.

Now when a chimp is running the show and happens to be on the side that will protect Israel, it makes things difficult but still need to see the forest through the trees and understand the long term picture.
