| Wow. Just scanning some posts here and couldn't resist weighing in. People would like to believe that Ron Paul is kooky, however, since when is believing in the constitution cooky? National id cards, no thanks. Policeman to the world, while China kicks our a**, no thanks. Torture? No thanks. Rent your house from Uncle Sam, instead of own it because now our property taxes are so high that even if you don't have a mortgage, you're just renting it from the gov't, No thanks. Ron Paul is about collectivism vs. individualism. Now collectivism has come to mean corporate welfare, military industrial welfare, social welfare. Pretty soon there is so much collectivism, there is no more individualism. How about control of the internet? No thanks. Ron Paul is not cooky and he has an audience because people are concerned about the direction of the country, imo. Ron Paul's ideas will continue to interest people, because these are the very real issues that face us as a country. Anybody remember we left England because we didn't want the King in our lives. Those kooky founding fathers! Just my 2cents. |
