The market is expecting too much from companies on earnings. They increase expectaions 2 days before earnings are to come out instigate a mass sell off when earnings don't blow the new expectations out the water. I recently watched it on Vivus and it dropped 4 pts in one day even though they did meet their most recent expectations on earnings. If you need the profits you have on cpq to pay tuition, or whatever think hard about pulling at least the profits out before earnings. It can go either way and this market is no place to risk next semesters tuition or mortgage pymt. I'm pulling profits out before earnings and leaving my core investment to ride the wave whichever way it may flow. Good luck to all.
