In your graph of US debt expressed in billions and as a percent of US GDP the graph between about 1922 and 1948 looks suspiciously linear. I assume its an issue in the source data, not just some problem with the chart...?

By the way, I don't mean to be critical in a negative way. You do great work and I wouldn't want you to think the rest of us weren't taking it seriously or looking closely at what you produce :)
