Great interview with Fred Weber. Kind of long but very interesting, especially to me, as I experienced most of the things he talks about first hand. About 65 min into the interview he starts talking about architecture. He's very big on 3D/stacking and not very thrilled about new memory architectures. He's now CTO of a startup that will soon be coming out with some sort of new memory product. I was really depressed when Fred left AMD as I was reasonably sure he was a big part of the success of the Athlon/Opteron. He's one person that I would bet on to be successful at whatever he's choosing to do. theregister.co.uk
