DDSS was up 18.10% at its intraday H & still was able to close up 15.52%, but it isn't doing well AHs. The stock has continued its near term UT that started on Jan 24 from the $0.95 level, with some pause at the $2 <g> Today's volume of 541,591 was about 4x its ADV bigcharts.marketwatch.com On Friday it announced that its recently completed PIII of trazodone achieved statistical significance for the primary efficacy endpoint & also demonstrated improved patient sleep patterns.It plans to file an NDA for its 1x daily formulation of trazodone with the FDA later this year. Trazodone is an atypical anti-depressant that acts as a dual serotonin agonist and serotonin reuptake inhibitor.It appears to increase serotonin activity by 3 mechanisms: the activation of neuronal serotonin receptors; the inhibition at the neuronal serotonin feedback system which regulates the action of serotonin; & the inhibition of the re-uptake of serotonin. DDSS is trying to optimize the performance of existing small molecule drugs using its controlled-release technologies.Its lead product, is a 1x daily formulation of tramadol,which is already being launched globally. The insiders hold < 5% & institutions around 10%.
