Yes, I speak from authority. My father knew with Billy Graham, Pope John Paul, Bishop Tutu, Martin Luther King, etc. I have seen it all. As a youth I could recite Bible verse like a pro. And while not particularly religious anymore, I know the difference between a real Jimmy Carter/Johnny Cash type southern Christian who cares about what Christ taught, and the phony rightwing hypocrite conmen who seem to care only about money, war, hatred, closet case sex and political corruption. Realize the former leader of the religious right Ralph Reed was recently busted for taking bribes from gambling casinos, and Reverend Haggard busted for sex with a male hooker doing meth, Oral Roberts top guy busted for corruption, Pat Robertson cashed in 7 times time predicting the end of the world while fully invested in long-term bonds. And Mitt Romney falsely telling the public that the agnostic founding fathers were pro religion in government. Anything but. Time for the rightwing to quit taking the Lord's name in vain.
