I know nothing about the law regarding the addition of ethanol in domestic fuel, but it's a darned good question.

I was/am relaying what the fellow who monitors the pumps, reports on costs of the local competition and supervises fuel deliveries at my local Costco told me directly. I had an extensive conversation with him the first day I started using their product. I could, and probably will go higher up in the chain of command to double check on what he told me now that you've piqued my curiosity.

You have to remember I am in Seattle, we are much closer to Alaska crude and also have five refineries nearby.

I sure want to believe him, and have definitely gotten better gas mileage on my vehicle since I started using it.
