TOASTER OPEN Here are the entries for the 08 Toasterlisted in the order of high/low, year end and an adjustment column (that I will explain). Some interesting figures emerge. There are fewer entrants but those who entered submitted numbers when averaged that replicate the average submissions of last year. The average high numbers for the year were 62 and the closing number averaged 55. These are remarkably identical to 07, 64 and 57 respectively. So despite the debacle of 07 those sticking with the Q on average think they will get a 50% return this year...pretty bullish if you ask me. The adjustment column, the far right one. As you know, the contest rules are that I use the closing figures for the markets (4:00PM EST) for the high, low and year end numbers. We did that in both 06 and 07. The "low" closing number for 08 prior to the close of the contest on Jan. 31 was 35.97 and many of you submitted 35.17 which was apparently an inter day low.
