To all interested in the "suit", I would sugest spending your efforts in more productive areas. If you have a legitimate complaint, let the TSE investigate it. It seems to me that if Cowpland violated the rules, he could be subject to prosecution and perhaps have to pay the illegal profits back(ie. the profits made on the inside information). That doesn't translate into a huge amount of money in market terms.

In Canada, your loss as a shareholder only exists if the stock price continues to remain depressed and if you can argue that you would have sold at the same time as Cowpland did(assuming you ahd access to the same information). However, the reduced sales and resulting drop in profit is a fact and it seems to me that the drop in the share price would have occurred whether Cowpland had sold his shares or not so your loss is not attributable to the alleged inside selling but rather to the markets analysis of the Company's present and future prospects as a result of a poor quarter. Therefore, complain to the regulators if you feel justified but lets try to focus on the Corel's future.

By the way, implicit in the press releases relating to the sale , in my view, was an addmission that the Banks in effect forced the sale by Cowpland. That may be a reflection upon his personal spending habits or a lack of confidence in Corel itself. I am not sure. I am more interested in the potential of some of the new products and potential joint ventures or partnerships with other companies as that may ultimately lead to greater shareholder value.
