See how effective King George II was. He attacked Saddam and disposed of him and sons in short order. The USA has historically shown people who cross them what to expect.

One of the effects of the war in Iraq is to make other countries very circumspect about taking on the USA which is stretched in Iraq, but note that the ships and aircraft are sailing around the world quite bored and thinking that they need something to do too to get their cash flow and fun quotients up.

Look at Libya cave in. See North Korea negotiate. Note that Iran has temporarily put their nuclear weapons development in the slow lane. China is taking it easy over Taiwan which is an independent country despite the blather to the contrary.

ElM's respect for the POTUS is a well-founded fear.

The war in Iraq was about a LOT more than Saddam. With McCain singing "bomb bomb bomb, bomb bomb Iran" you can be sure that Iran is feeling threatened - sensibly. The USA could very easily turn right from Iraq, leave the locals to do what they like and head east to help reorganize, re-engineer and change [very fashionable in the USA election] Iran "for the better".

Amendiejihad is no doubt aware of that.
