How do you define liberal? He has a strong pro-life record, he's not for pulling out of Iraq, generally his record is well to the right of Hillary's. His lifetime ACU (American Conservative Union) rating is 82.3 Hillary's is 9 (Obama's is 8) (Aside, best and worst for 2006 conservative.org ) He is to the left of the average Senate Republican, but to the right of the average senator, and far to the right of Hillary, at least on the votes rated by the ACU.
