Have to share something that happened while I was out today. I had gone to PFChang's to get a gift certificate for our builder because he FINALLY finished the library and we are really very pleased despite the fact that I thought the WTC was going to be completed before our room was. When I came out, a woman had her car door open and I couldn't get to my car, so I waited while she cleaned out her seat or whatever she was doing. When she finished and noticed me, she said, Oh I am SO SORRY! I said, that's ok. I like watching other people work. She laughed and I got in my car and started to pull out. She ran up to me crying, wait, wait! So I rolled down the window and she handed me a pen wrapped in green tissue with a rose on top and said, "You were so nice, I just wanted to wish you a Happy Valentine's Day!"

Then we both smiled broadly and idiotically, feeling all warm and fuzzy about the world, and I drove away.
It just reminded me so much of our many talks about just being NICE to people. Doing small things. She made my day.
