Interesting prescription. Fascinating. It is a fact that you can overdose on D, but that was presumed to be 100,000 IU a day for 6 months!! Sunshine provides with normal beach exposure and time limits, about 10,000 IU per day. This is limited by tanning, so one presumes the time taken once a tan develops is longer and longer. 15 minutes of sun each day if one does not tan is presumed to be sufficient for white skin. The sun has to be above 45 degrees for this to work, which dictates that the hours between 10 and 3 -and- a latitude below 45 degrees in mid summer, and 22 degrees in the winter.

The problems with the people overdosing on D in Europe in the 50's can probably be traced to the fact that just about every meat was laced with D, and people in the Mediterranean eating hotdogs on the beach could reach toxic levels.
It is probably true that these individuals who reported toxicity were diseased or hypersensitive.

However some say that at 2000 "IU's one can reach toxic levels. This sort of anecdotal stuff cannot be qualified, so perhaps should be taken lightly. I have been taking 2000 IU's for 1 year now and so far am still among the living.

(kerplunk) - note to thread readers -- subject has dropped due to calcification of the extremities. Basically he has turned into a calcic fossil due to excessive D3 induced CaCO3
absorption.

I am sorry in that I can provide no source of gel coat 50,000
IU (1250 micrograms)
