WIth respect to small video cams, the smaller they are, the harder they are to hold steady for decent taping. So even if they can fit in your pocket, you have to be careful using them so you don't drive your audience crazy (unless you like the random-motion feel of "NYPD Blue" ... Love the show, just wish they would hold the damn camera still!) Sure, you can use a tripod, but that eliminates any convenience factor associated with the camera's small size. None of this matters much, however, to Joe Consumer, as video cams seem to be getting smaller and smaller, with no slowdown in sales. GUess most people use them for "snapshots" and don't care much about the quality .....
