All the debate is not about determining whether or not to oppose torture, it has already been determined that torture is against the law. The debate is to determine what line can be drawn in the definition of torture. The debate is to determine if waterboarding is torture or not. If it is determined to be torture, it must be outlawed. If it is not determined to be torture then it remains as currently classified. Some people think it crosses the line, others disagree, thus the debate....was that too many words for you?
