Saw a piece that looked at GDP vs debt growth just recently. Showed very clearly that the increases in debt weren't making the economy grow any faster. If anything it was growing slower in the "debt" era, and of course debt reduces stability and raises the risk level when something goes wrong.

I was trying to find it - had a simple chart of 60 years of GDP growth and debt growth - but I can't remember where it was. Has anybody else run across it?
