Not stocking AMD-based machines because of an agreement with Intel does not sound like what you are claiming.

That is a third-person description, and neither I nor you have any idea that the writer of the memo was trying to be legally accurate, or just prcatical in saying "don't bother with AMD, because Intel will reduce their marketing reimbursement, and I don't think the AMD business will compensate for that reduction."

Here's a quote (following paragraph), with the original quote marks, from the link you provided. (which is still not the letter itself, but someone's description of it. The person describes himself as having spent time at AMD. So very likely an ex AMD employee). Anyway, Media Mart knew very well that any such contract is not legal. Which is why I think they would never have done it that way. maybe with an understanding. But not with a formal contract.
