Well since the Federal budget is probably a little too big to cut and paste here, I'll just give you a link:

We're talking about the growth in taxes, not the concept of taxes itself.

Then EVERYBODY is 'tax and spend' are they not?

The tax rate has been going down, and the debt up. That's the key problem. Sure it has a spending component... but it also has a revenue component.

Now if you want to be myopic about it feel free. But don't expect to be taken seriously wrt the debt.
