They have prematurely crowned McCain as the winner without understanding the delegation process. All this despite record fund raising numbers that Ron Paul continues to shatter. The Republican Party is also guilty of shutting out Ron Paul. Despite this he is much more shrewd that most would give him credit for. As part of the next phase of his campaign, Ron Paul plans to show the world something that cannot be ignored. In a video statement issued on February 11th, Ron Paul announced his plans to hold a march on Washington. In his statement he announced, "Now is the time for us to make a grand stand." Dr. Paul also stated that many in Congress are now "begging and pleading" because they are being challenged by those supporting the Ron Paul platform, and are fearful of losing their Congressional seats. Within minutes of his announcement, Ron Paul supporters all over the world began to announce their commitment to the march. They are also collaborating on a possible date for the event. One thing is certain, the Ron Paul Revolution continues to grow and the local and national GOP should take heed. The GOP is headed back to the days when libertarian principles and the Constitution meant something. The march on Washington will undoubtedly show the solidarity and will of the American people, and this is something that the media and the Republican party will no longer be able to ignore.
