the thing is we have just had this incredible rout in all these stocks. Everybody is well off their prices from last year, I mean way way down, its not like you are buying the top if you buy here.

I really am not seeing anything around me to indicate a brutal recession either. Of course if you are a homebuilder building houses in central california who got used to selling them for 400K when only 8 years ago they were worth maybe 50K (IF THAT) then it seems like a massive recession to you. But for the global tech companies there is no real slowdown, other than something people are talking themselves into. In my area houses haven't even fallen that much. This market is just one that sells into everything.
