there isn't any way mccain wins, the number of independents claiming they are dem vs republican is more than 2 to one. It would take somebody really exceptional to win as a republican this year, I don't know maybe Arnold or somebody like that (I like Arnold maybe he doesn't have national appeal i don't know) but absolutely nobody is predicting a republican win, the massive donations going to dems over 2:1 vs the republicans (this is highly unusual and has never happened before) the turnout for dem vs republican primaries, the independents who say they are dem, it spells a bloodbath for republicans.
