Australia reported a lower unemployment rate, and that sent the sagging AUD and some commodities vertical. AUD rebounded strongly and also the AUDJPY soared.

Interest rates speak, and the JPY sits here like a lame duck. It does show a negative beta. People only buy it if they sell everything else, be it US, or chinese stocks. Or commodities.
