OK, keep pretending that American households can simply raise their own salaries to pay for their profligate spending.


Why don't you detail the profligate (Bush) spending. Then maybe people can argue it issue by issue. Some government spending obviously makes sense, some probably doesn't. Since you are so upset, why don't you detail the examples that upset you. And people can say if they are for or against that particular spending.

Otherwise you are just generalizing.
