President's have a lot of power... as is the case with Bush who vows to fight any proposal by Congress to pass a bill preventing torture..... Canada now has us listed as a country who has human rights violations... So how can we police the rest of the world with our morality when we ourselves will not condemn torture... Hmmmmmmm ?
