But the more important point is to redirect the conversation, to get folk thinking differently about the possibility of doing something about these issues. The more important point is how to pay for it. From my point of view, you can't do nothin' unless you can pay for it. As for whether or not a return to 2000 tax regs would produce enough money, I'd have to see the numbers. Seems unlikely to me that it would even pay for the increase in the deficit since 2000 let alone expensive programs. No, I'm not going to do any research on the numbers.
