Mr. Spaulding: those are tons of Netscape windows !! ... after I clicked on your pointer, there was an immense shower of brw'r windows on my desktop ... felt like it ... initially I thought "must be my feeling" ... but no, soon even the parent browser got exhausted, and it must have done a "kill -9" to all its children windows and later killed itself ... as all the windows disappeared! I had to re-launch everything, had to login all over again.

Other than this, there appears to be no other harm done ;-) to my system.

Just out of curiosity, I then went to check out your profile, and holy cow ... another javascript error message popped-up! Lot of gadgets you put in there, it seems.

Three things: even though I could manage all of this, without getting fearful or upset, as I knew the stuff and knew what must be going on, but imagine the plight of some traders here, who are just here because of the momentum, and just use the browser stuff, without having any need to know the techy details. Imho, they are right. So wouldn't it be kinda nice, to at least warn these folks that "beware, its gonna open up lots of windows"?

Second, the user interface design of that http pointer place, is really poor imho: it should show some home html doc first and give the user some control, so that they have a choice of opening up all those windows if they want ... not just bombard those, on the poor souls, whose only fault was to merely click on the link you provided, isn't it?.

Third: thanks lord, Java is secure (as of yet, w.r.t. known bugs)... otherwise imagine the peoples plight!

(To all those, UNIX-uninitiated here: The "kill" command mentioned above is just a way for the computer operating system to terminate its processes, nothing else should be inferred from that, at least not any action in the real human domain! :-) ... just fyi ... apologies if it was obvious).

I shudder to even repeat a reference to that link here, because folks might unnecessarily click it. They can navigate back to the original post of Mr. Spaulding from here, if they desire.

regards to all,
-/Sonny.
