AMDs Ceo (Ruiz) took his eye off the ball, which was to make the most of their better front-side-buss design. Instead he spent his attention on getting the factory moved close enough to his house that he wouldn't have to commute. He was so determined to make a statement that HE HAD ARRIVED, that he didn't pay attention to whether the chips were actually working. They were 99% great, but that 1% can be a killer. AMDs a good play now, because they are cheap and Ruiz is becoming an emeritus. TP
