You must be getting close to Benin. My brother in law flew for Ansett [an Aussie airline] and the union insisted in going on strike [stupidly and against his judgment]. They all ended up unemployed during the big airline downturn several years ago when the company went broke. <ECB has said to Germany's IG Metall, please don't strike. Economy not going well.

To no vail. they will do a warning strike.

Sometimes a strike might be a good idea. Often it is not. In Germany, Nokia is moving out - others will be thinking about it too. If employees don't show up for work, then the companies will have to set up shop elsewhere where people do want to work.
