You seem to like "secret" government spook activities, so this is a real one. The US about to shoot down one of their own satellites filled with "dangerous hydrazine" (what a joke) one month after China shot down one of their satellites. China announced this "after the fact" and the US knows hows many failed attempts they made, and China knows they know. The US is announcing their fireworks in advance, telling the Chinese what to watch and when to watch it - just to make sure they get a good ring-side seat. nytimes.com This Reuter's article makes all the correct guesses, except their hysteria about an out of control space race. reuters.com This is real spook work. When viewed from an appropriate distance it's childish and pitiful. No one runs around breaking other people's telecom cables, because they'd only do it to your's in return. There are rules even spooks have to follow. I'm sure this got started over some argument over Darfur or something equally idiotic. .
