Talisman has 30% of New North Sea oil discovery reuters.com Lundin makes oil discovery in North Sea OSLO, Feb 15 (Reuters) - Swedish oil group Lundin Petroleum (LUPE.ST: Quote, Profile, Research) has made an oil discovery in the southern part of the North Sea, the Norwegian petroleum directorate said on Friday. The discovery was made in production licence 148, where Lundin is the operator. "The appraisal well indicates that the size of the discovery is probably within the range of 3- 5 million standard cubic metres of recoverable oil," the directorate said in a statement. "The results are interesting with regard to further development of the oil discovery," it said. Other partners in the licence include Norwegian Energy Company NOR.OL with a 20 percent interest and Talisman Energy (TLM.TO: Quote, Profile, Research) with a 30 percent interest.
