Wizzard Software Debuts VoicE-mail, World's First True E-Mail Product With Voice Recognition

We need something like this for posting here on SI!!

PITTSBURGH--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 13, 1997--VoicE-mail, the world's first fully-featured e-mail application with voice recognition, has just been released by Wizzard Software Corporation, specialists in providing solutions to small businesses and Internet users. Now that voice recognition technology is giving computer users a hands-free interface for word processing, meeting scheduling and other functions, VoicE-mail is the industry's first application to bring the ease and immediacy of voice recognition to e-mail software. It's ideal for small businesses, home offices, home users, students, slow typists and people who need their hands free for other tasks.

VoicE-mail users can easily navigate through the program by using intuitive voice commands and can create their e-mail simply by speaking. The Windows 95/NT environment package offers many powerful features and comes complete with a high-quality microphone headset. The program is extremely easy to use and is compatible with 95 percent of computers currently in use. VoicE-mail retails for $49.95 and is currently available in stores. The program is based on IBM's award-winning VoiceType(R) speech recognition technology which is highly accurate.

''This is the first and only fully functional e-mail application with voice recognition,'' says Chris Spencer, Wizzard Software's CEO. ''VoicE-mail is ideal for anyone who would rather talk than type their e-mail. This software is easier to use than any other voice recognition product on the market and actually 'learns' your voice as you use it. First-time users are amazed at how simple it is to use and even how much fun they have using it.''

While its voice recognition is top-notch, VoicE-mail is packed full of additional features. ''The program actually offers a lot of features that several other e-mail products do not, such as checking multiple accounts, junk e-mail filtering, a hold feature and a powerful search function,'' adds Spencer. The junk e-mail filter enables you to filter out all e-mail from domain names that have a history of spamming. The hold feature allows you to schedule your e-mails--and attachments--to be sent at any time and date in the future. The program will automatically sign-on, send the e-mail at the exact time, and then sign-off. Other features include the ability to launch file attachments, create thousands of customized mailboxes, drag and drop between mailboxes, multiple address books, auto dialing, mass mailings and hyperlinks within messages.

System requirements: 90-MHz Pentium(R), 16 MB of RAM, 50 MB available hard disk space, CD-ROM drive, SoundBlaster (or compatible) sound card, modem, TCP/IP access and SMTP/POP3.
