They forgot Numonyx is a non vertically integrated competitor, the biggest one last Q. They're refering to Samsung/Tosh with much lower share, and Numonyx will shrink before Spansion will.

I haven't read the full report so I couldn't tell you who they are referring to. What I posted was reported at Briefing.com.

BTW isn't a bit contradictory to have extra price pressure and at the same time get robust margin improvements?

Again, I haven't read the full report but it seems to me, what they are saying is- the company will have robust margins improvements but there will be significant pricing pressure too and the net result will still be a loss.

Keith just posted Oppenheimer comments too: Expected margin gains are already priced in.

Here's from the link you provided-

"Follow-up: Spansion-SPSN initiated with a Perform@OPCO
Oppenheimer believes the company is facing pricing pressure and feels its improving gross margins are already priced into shares. :theflyonthewall"

How would you interpret this statement?

PS: What I don't understand is why every time I post something here, you guys correlate it to a further decline in SPSNs stock price from the current price of $3.00? I have never claimed that SPSN stock price is going to decline further, if at all I have had a bias towards the opposite and think it is oversold!
