So your point is SCO will pursue a "breach of contract claim based on the non-compete restrictions" and force Novell to stop selling Linux?

I have no idea how feasible this is, or how it fits in with the fact that it has already been ruled the SCO owes Novell money. I can see where stopping Novell from selling Linux would be bad for Novell, but what theoretically would you see it meaning for SCO?

This seems completely separate from going after IBM because Unix is in Linux claims that started this thing. I would not thing this would relate to IBM at all, Novell does not have the deep pockets of IBM.

Also, the document you quote was filled in Aug, 2007. Why is this great idea just coming to life now?
